...As He Slams Amnesty Office Mismanagement, Calls His Tenure a Total Failure

Apostle Comrade Daniel Ezekiel Perela has strongly criticized the former head of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, asking President Bola Tinubu not to reappoint him.

Perela’s comments come three months after the former leader, Dennis, finished his two-year term. Perela claims powerful local figures are now spending millions of dollars to lobby top officials in Abuja to give Dennis a second term.

To show why Dennis should not return, Perela compared him to former leader Kingsley Kuku. 

He said Kuku used his budget to provide vocational training, pay for school scholarships in Nigeria and abroad, and pay all 65,000 members their monthly allowances on time.

In contrast, Perela called Dennis’s time in charge a complete failure. He said Dennis did not set up a single vocational training program in two years, often paid monthly allowances late, and spent money on useless leadership classes that mostly helped people outside the program.

Perela also pointed out that the office received over 96 billion Naira in just ten months, yet the lives of the members did not improve. He rejected claims that Dennis brought good reforms, calling the office's projects a waste of money. 

He added that Dennis and his team spent too much time participating in local religious festivals instead of doing their jobs.

Responding to accusations that he is attacking Dennis because a personal business deal fell through, Perela denied being a blackmailer. 

He shared call records showing he repeatedly ignored calls from Dennis’s close team members to prove he is not looking for money.

Perela urged the government to ignore the lobbying efforts, stating that Dennis lacks the skill, experience, and care needed to lead the program, and called for a new leader to take over.
