Who Says Niger Delta Youths Have No Future? AIV Takes Bold Step To Empower 30 Arogbo-Ijaw Sons And Daughters

Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters (AIV) has announced plans to empower 30 sons and daughters of the Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom through a digital skills training programme aimed at promoting youth development, improving digital competence, and creating opportunities for economic advancement.

The initiative, which was approved at the organisation’s most recent management meeting, is part of AIV’s commitment to community development and equipping young people with practical skills to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

The announcement was made available to a Tarakirivoice correspondent on Sunday morning by the founder of AIV, Dr. Kegbe.

According to the organisation, the proposed training programme is designed to equip beneficiaries with relevant digital competencies that could open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and other emerging opportunities within the digital economy.

AIV noted that investing in the digital capacity of young people has become increasingly important as technology continues to reshape businesses, communication, education, and economic activities across the world.

The organisation expressed optimism that the initiative would help beneficiaries develop valuable skills, become more economically independent, and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.

Beyond providing training, the programme is expected to encourage young people to explore opportunities in the digital space and position themselves to take advantage of the growing demand for technology-related skills.

However, AIV has yet to announce the commencement date, training venue, application procedures, or specific digital skills that will be covered under the programme.

The organisation stated that further information concerning the training and other relevant arrangements would be communicated in due course.

Reaffirming its commitment to the development of the Arogbo-Ijaw people, AIV emphasised that its responsibilities extend beyond gathering and reporting news to supporting initiatives that create opportunities and build the capacity of community members.

In a message accompanying the announcement, Dr. Kegbe appealed for wider publicity and public support to ensure that the initiative reaches a broader audience.

He expressed hope that media organisations and other stakeholders would help amplify the programme and its potential benefits for young people across the kingdom.

The planned empowerment initiative comes amid growing recognition of digital skills as an important tool for youth employment, entrepreneurship, innovation, and participation in the modern economy.

For AIV, the programme represents an effort to translate its commitment to community development into practical action by investing in the future of the next generation.

If successfully implemented, the initiative could provide an opportunity for the selected beneficiaries to acquire useful skills and explore new pathways to personal and professional development.

As the Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom awaits further details, prospective beneficiaries and other interested community members will be looking forward to the announcement of the programme's commencement date and the process for participating in the training.

HSN will continue to monitor developments surrounding the initiative as more information becomes available.
